1. Definitions

1.1 "Group" means the online matrimonial group established for eligible candidates of the Saurashtra Patidar community residing in Canada and the United States.

1.2 "Administrator" or "Admin" means any person appointed to manage the Group, enforce these Bylaws, and moderate member activity.

1.3 "Member" means any individual admitted to the Group with the consent of an Admin.

1.4 "Biodata" means personal information shared for matrimonial purposes, including but not limited to name, age, contact details, educational qualifications, family details, and photographs.

2. Purpose

2.1 These Bylaws are intended to establish clear guidelines for the proper use of the Group, promote respectful conduct, protect personal privacy, and provide transparency about responsibilities and limitations.

2.2 The sole purpose of the Group is to serve as a platform for eligible members of the Saurashtra Patidar community residing in Canada and the United States to share matrimonial biodata and engage in marriage-related discussion.

3. Membership Eligibility

3.1 Membership is limited to:

  • Individuals who are eligible for marriage and belonging to the Saurashtra Patidar community;
  • Residents of Canada or the United States; and
  • Immediate family members posting on behalf of a direct candidate.

3.2 Biodata belonging to individuals who do not meet the criteria in Section 3.1 shall not be permitted.

4. Biodata Posting Guidelines

4.1 Members may post only:

  • Their own biodata; or
  • The biodata of their child or legal ward, provided they have legal authority.

4.2 Posting biodata of third parties without consent is strictly prohibited.

4.3 Members must ensure that the information contained in any biodata is accurate to the best of their knowledge at the time of posting.

4.4 The Group Admin shall not be responsible for verifying the truth, accuracy, or completeness of any biodata posted.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

5.1 Members shall not screenshot, record, copy, forward, or share any content from the Group without explicit consent of the person to whom the content relates.

5.2 Members are responsible for protecting their own personal information and shall exercise caution when sharing contact details or other private data.

5.3 Members shall comply with applicable privacy law, including but not limited to Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and similar laws in the United States.

6. Communication and Conduct

6.1 Members may contact other Members if they are interested in a posted biodata, provided that such contact is respectful and consensual.

6.2 Initial contact shall be limited to direct phone call or private message.

6.3 Members must respect personal boundaries and shall not engage in harassment, abusive language, threats, discrimination, or other objectionable conduct.

6.4 Any violation of this Section must be reported promptly to an Admin.

7. Responsibilities and Limitations

7.1 The Member who posts any biodata shall bear full responsibility for the accuracy and legality of information contained therein.

7.2 Any individual seeking to verify biodata or contact information shall do so at their own risk.

7.3 The Admin shall not be liable for:

  • (a) Any inaccuracies in biodata;
  • (b) Any outcomes arising from Member interactions; or
  • (c) Any loss, damage, or harm resulting from use of this Group.

8. Enforcement and Sanctions

8.1 Admins reserve the right to enforce these Bylaws without prior notice.

8.2 Violation of these Bylaws may result in:

  • Warning;
  • Temporary restriction;
  • Immediate removal from the Group; or
  • Reporting to relevant platform authorities.

8.3 Admin decisions regarding enforcement are final and binding.

9. Amendment

9.1 These Bylaws may be amended from time to time at the discretion of the Admin.

9.2 Members shall be notified of any change within a reasonable period.

10. Acceptance of Terms

10.1 By continuing membership or participating in the Group, Members hereby acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Bylaws.
